Misaki Iwasa (AKB48) has released the MV for her first enka single for 2015 “Hatsu-zake” (release date: April 29). As she celebrated her coming age with the rest of the “48 group” members at Kanda Myojin on January 12th and her 20th birthday on January 30th, this is also her first single since legally becoming and adult in Japan.
In addition to the beautiful kimono and traditional Japanese scenery that has come to be expected of her enka MVs, Iwasa is shown drinking sake, a sign of her new status as an adult in Japanese society.
“Hatsu-zake” will be released in a limited edition version with a DVD and a regular CD-only version. Continuing in her tradition of covering AKB48 songs on her singles, the coupling song on both versions of “Hatsu-zake” will be “Hakimono to Kasa no Monogatari” which was from the Type-N version of “Green Flash”. The coupling song for “Hatsu-zake” on the regular version will be an enka version of “Let It Go”, the massively popular hit song from the 2014 Disney animated film “Frozen” that will not go away. The third song on the limited edition version of “Hatsu-zake” will be a cover of 1970’s Japanese folk group Signal’s “Hatachi no Meguriai”. The DVD for the limited edition version includes the full-length MV for “Hatsu-zake” and a behind the scenes clip from the making of the video.
