At MC after Okabe Team A “Mokugekisha” performance held at AKB48 Theater, Team A Captain Rin Okabe read a letter from AKB48 Group General Director Mion Mukaichi who was absent that day.

It was the first time in about 4 years that AKB48 alone had decided to hold a nationwide tour, and the crowd including the members cheered.
In response to the announcement, Rin Okabe said, “We were looking forward to it, and I am very happy that we could enjoy the event with all the fans! Please look forward to it!”.
It will be AKB48’s first nationwide tour in about 4 years since “AKB48 Young Member National Tour ~ Future will be made from now ~” held from March to May 2015.

Letter from Mion Mukaichi（Partial excerpt）
Good evening, everyone. I’m Mion Mukaichi, general manager of AKB48.
Two months have passed quickly since I became the general manager. There are still things that are not good enough, but I have more opportunities to meet with the staff little by little, so I will represent the members.
I can express my opinion now. One of the things I always keep in mind during meetings is “Have fun and activities with members and fans”. I used to think that
Like you, I was an AKB48 fan, so what can I do to make my fans happy? That’s what I’ve been thinking about.
In the midst of all this, one hope that has been continuously appealed since the generation of Yui Yokoyama has finally been realized! AKB48 has decided to hold its first nationwide tour in about 4 years! 10 locations throughout Japan they will give a concert at.
