CHEERZ is a mobile application that was launched in December 2014 that allows fans to support their favorite idols by giving them “CHEERZ” on the pictures they upload. Previously only available in the original Japanese language version, the latest update, now includes English and Chinese.

The graphics works for this ad are by KASICO, an art director known as working on Graphic Girl and MADFOOT! as we also introduced before. His unique technique to combine pop gif animation and cute girls works awesome here for CHEERZ again!

The ads aim to catch attention of people who use the trains obviously, and another important thing is to create works that even girls would think cute. I guess it’s working successfully as it definitely cute things, right?  If you happen to be in Japan right now, don’t miss to check it out!

The stations the ads are displayed : Tokyo, Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Shinagawa, Akihabara, Ueno, Ebisu, Akabane, Yokohama, Urawa, Oomiya, Hachioji, Mitaka, Kokubunji, Shinjuku, Kichijoji, Sugamo, Sakuragi-cho, Funabashi
Period : April 13th to April 19th, 2015

Been working in girls’ fashion magazines for a long time and am now the chief editor of Tokyo Girls’ Update. I have more expertise in Japanese teen fashion than anyone else (probably)! I’m a huge fan of the Revolutionary Girl Utena and Bakemonogatari animes.
