Yurumerumo! Does More Guerilla Promotion for Akasaka Blitz Tour Final!

With the clock ticking closer and closer to the curtain raising on the tour final of their first first Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka tour “Tou/Mei/Han (Tokyo/Nagoya/Osaka) dayo! Zen-in Hamidasu-mo!” on May 2nd at Akasaka Blitz, Yurumerumo! has been very busy! The previous report had Ano doing strange things in Harajuku, Shibuya, and Shinbashi and some Twitter updates on some of the other members’ activities.

Going to Akihabara, Mone taught some fans the choreography for “Nan”, the coupling song from Yurumerumo!’s latest single “Hamidasumo” (release date: March 26) and signed a moped. Previously, there were some pictures on Twitter documenting the events but it looks like a lot more fun when you can see it in video form. Perhaps the hard work will pay off when those fans start dancing along when the song is performed on May 2nd?

Chiffon was a little less fortunate when she went down to Akihabara as she ended up dancing in front of the station by herself and was approached by the police as she was leaving! At the very least, she got off with a warning? It seems it’s not allowed to give out or even show people fliers in front of Akihabara station so now you know why there aren’t any maids hanging out there. However, it is sort of common to see people performing in front of train stations all over Japan.

Younapi and Kechon went to Ikebukuro and Shinjuku in their China dresses to advertise. It’s kind of sad to see no one paying attention to Kechon while there are so many people surrounding Younapi. It makes sense that they had better luck in front of Shinjuku station since it’s the busiest train station in the world.

The latest video has Younapi at Shibuya’s “Center-gai” (now called “Basketball Street”) putting the finishing touches on her hand drawn poster and causing a scene with fans and staff. It’s funny to see the staff member who was holding up the poster board minutes earlier pretending to be a starstruck fan and trying to get random people walking by to become interested (the Japanese word for someone who does that is “sakura”).

From her Twitter account you can see that she started drawing the poster around lunch time in Harajuku, went to dance practice at 5:00pm, and then went to Shibuya to finish up and do some promotion. Amazing!

What happened to Chibo though? Was she stuck at school again taking make-up classes?

Pre-sale tickets include a DVD but even without it, the show promises to be well worth it with several live musicians including Kazuma Hashida who has composed several songs for Yurumerumo on guitar and a full horn section! Don’t wait to be potentially crowded out (“hamidasumo”)!
