Superstar Namie Amuro has unwrapped the MV for “Birthday” from her upcoming album “_genic” (release date: June 10).

Contributor Wanted!!

The video, which was shot in one take, has Namie Amuro preparing for her birthday party in a very cute idol-like fashion, smiling cheerfully on the brightly colored set with her backup dancers. With the concept of one’s birthday being the most special day of the year for a person, Amuro looks every bit the part of a queen for a day (or any day). While she hasn’t been dominating the Oricon charts in recent years, her reign as J-pop royalty shows no signs of coming to an end even as she approaches her 40’s.

There is also a sampler of all the songs on the album. All 13 of the songs on the album have never been released as singles and will be a stylistic departure from her 11th album “FEEL” (release date: July 10, 2013). There is also a bonus track “What I Did For Love”, which was a collaboration with David Guetta.

“_genic” will be released in CD/DVD, CD/Blu-ray, and CD only versions. Included on the DVD are 5 MVs for the songs “Birthday”, “Golden Touch”, “Fashionista”, “Stranger”, and “Anything”. Limited numbers of a B2-sized (500 x 707 mm, 19.7″ x 27.8″) poster will be offered to those who purchase the album so don’t wait!
