Free Idol Events at Nakano New Directors Film Festival 2015 Get Super-Sized!

Just because summer is over, it doesn’t mean that the exciting events in Tokyo have come to an end. The 2015 Nakano New Directors Film Festival which runs from October 31st until November 3rd, is full of films by the rising film directors of Japan and free performances by some exciting up and coming idols!

On November 2, 2015 Gyuzo will be bringing a diverse mix of idols to one of the “holy grounds of idol culture”, Nakano Sun Plaza for an event titled “Gyu-no Fes x Nakano Style Idol Festival 2015”. Starting and 11:00am and scheduled to end around 7:00pm, it will be an event packed with exciting idol lives and what promise to be entertaining talk shows.

The first wave of performers announced were: Vanilla Beans, Maison book girl, Tsubasa Fly, Black DPG, Oyasumi Hologram, Phantom Voice, Avandoned Idol, and Risa Satosaki (Shoujo Kakka no International).

The second wave of performers for “Gyu-no Fes x Nakano Style Idol Festival 2015” includes: callme, Erika Nishi (ex-AeLL), Shoujo Kakka no International, notall, KomeHime, SAWA, You Kurihara, Mai Ogawa (Tochigi Idol Project), PiGU (POP iD Girls Unit), and Miss iD 2015 finalist Kudou-chan.

Idols will also be on screen as Bellring Shoujo Heart stars in their first film “Bellring Shoujo Heart no 6-jigen Galaxy” which was written and directed by Jun Sugita. “Bellring Shoujo Heart no 6-jigen Galaxy” will be screened at 10:40am. Following the conclusion of the film, there will be a short talk show hosted by Gyuzo where he will be joined by members of Bellring SHoujo Heart: Moe Usami, Mizuho Asakura, Ayano Yanagisawa, and Kai at 12:00pm.

Maison book girl stars in “my cut”, an independent film made possible via an overwhelmingly successful crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE. “my cut” will be screened at 3:20pm. At 4:20pm there will be a short talk show hosted by Gyuzo and Vanilla Beans with director Yurika Oneyama, Maison book girl, and Kenta Sakurai.

On November 3, 2015, which is a public holiday known as Culture Day (Bunka no Hi, 文化の日), there is another free idol event being organized by an entertainer named Ponpon Pein Yuguchi. Scheduled to appear are: Ange☆Reve, BABY FACE, Bitter&Sweet, Baseball Girls, CANDY GO!GO!, drop, Feam, FES☆TIVE, Heisei Kotohime, THE HOOPERS, i*chip_memory, Kamen Joshi, Maneki Kecha, Party Rockets GT, PASSPO☆, Stella☆Beats, and UPUPGIRLS (KARI).

While it will be free to attend the idol festival, a ticket (2,500 yen) is necessary to attend the screenings and to enter the priority area for the live performances. Nakano New Directors Film Festival opens on October 31 and runs until November 3 so, don’t miss this chance to see the work of some of the cutting-edge upcoming filmmakers in Japan and get a little wild at an idol festival?
