Morning Musume.’17 boldly march towards the future with the MV for “BRAND NEW MORNING” from their double A-side 63rd single “BRAND NEW MORNING/Jealousy Jealousy” (release date: March 8)!
Opening with 13th generation members Kaede Kaga and Reina Yokoyama throwing off their cloaks to reveal bright red and black military-style uniforms, Morning Musume.’17 spring to attention as they run through their precise formations and wave the flags of their revolution. Sadly, this single is without the talents of Masaki Sato who has been sidelined with a back injury since December of 2016. The music for “BRAND NEW MORNING” is by Shou Yoshibe and Jean Luc Ponpon with Yoshibe contributing the lyrics and Ponpon providing the arrangement.
“BRAND NEW MORNING/Jealousy Jealousy” will be released in 2 limited CD/DVD editions, a Special Limited Edition CD/DVD edition, and 2 regular versions. Limited Edition Type-A includes the MV for “BRAND NEW MORNING”, and Limited Edition Type-B includes the MV for “Jealousy Jealousy”. The Special Limited Edition includes 2 bonus tracks: “Morning Misoshiru” (Morning Miso Soup), a remake of “Morning Coffee” created for the group’s collaboration with Marukome and “Get You!” their collaboration with HKT48’s Rino Sashihara as the unit Sashining Musume. The DVD for that version includes the dance shot MVs for “BRAND NEW MORNING” and “Jealousy Jealousy” as well as the MV for “Morning Misoshiru”. All 3 limited editions include lottery tickets for Morning Musume.’17 events and the regular version include 1 of 13 (12 solo and 1 group) randomly selected trading cards with the members in outfits from “BRAND NEW MORNING ” (Type-A) and “Jealousy Jealousy” (Type-B).
