Morning Musume.’17 held their solo concert at Nippon Budokan “Morning Musume. 20th Anniversary Concert Tour 2017 Autumn ~We are MORNING MUSUME.~ on November 21, 2017.
モーニング娘。’17が「モーニング娘。誕生20周年記念コンサートツアー2017秋～We are MORNING MUSUME。～」を日本武道館にて2017年11月21日に開催した。
Morning Musume. turned 20 years old on September 14, 2017. The movie put on the screen at the last of the anniversary events showed the members taking a step into the new era. It gave a strong impression that Morning Musume. is a group developing through enrollment and withdrawal.
モーニング娘。は2017年9月14日に結成20周年を迎えた。記念イベントの最後に流された映像でメンバーが新たな一歩を踏み出す姿が映し出されていた。加入と卒業を繰り返しながら成長し続けるモーニング娘。という存在を強く印象づけられたメモリアルなイベントとなった。
The memorial concert of Morning Musume.’17 which is the style of Morning Musume. in 2017 began with a movie introducing the current members set to the instrumental of “Aruiteru”.
そんな2017年におけるモーニング娘。であるモーニング娘。’17の武道館公演は、「歩いてる」のインスト音源が使われたメンバー紹介の映像から始まる。
Followed by “Wagamama Kinomama Ai no Joke” opening the ball, the group ungrudgingly performed the new song “Narushisu Kamattechan Kyousoukyoku Dai-5ban”. Starting from the verse “Look at me more” by Maria Makino, the song has considerable appeal, as the lyrics tells the feelings of girls in love. They rushed into several more famous songs like “Kimagure Princess” and “What is LOVE?”, the audience matching their energy as the performance heated up.
「わがまま気のまま愛のジョーク」で本編の口火を切ると、新曲の「ナルシス カマってちゃん協奏曲第５番」を惜しげも無く披露した。牧野真莉愛の「もっと見つめて」という台詞から始まり、女子の素直な心情を切に訴えかけていく。「きまぐれプリンセス」や「What is LOVE?」など往年のライブを盛り上げてきた名曲を次々と畳み掛け、会場は序盤から圧倒的な盛り上がりを見せた。
After leading a wave that swept through the Budokan during the MC, Morning Musume.’17 performed in succession 3 songs from the album “⑮ Thank you, too” which will be released on December 6th. Starting from “Jamashinaide Here We Go!”, a dance track set in a minor key, to “CHO DAI” and “Watashi no Nannimo Wakacchainai”, they overwhelmed the audience.
MCで武道館にウェーブを巻き起こした後は、12月6日に発売されるアルバム「⑮ Thank you, too」から立て続けに３曲披露した。マイナーコードのダンスナンバーである「邪魔しないで Here We Go!」から始まり、「CHO DAI」と「私のなんにもわかっちゃいない」で会場を圧倒していく。
After a short movie showing the moments when the current members joined the group, they performed “Ai no Tane (20th Anniversary Ver.)”. Who could imagine that the 50,000 seeds that the 5 original members scattered in 1997 would bloom like this way after 20 years? People could not help but be filled with gratitude toward the past members who gathered the threads of Morning Musume.’s story.
現メンバーの加入時の映像の後に、モーニング娘。の始まりの曲である「愛の種(20th Anniversary Ver.)」を披露する。1997年にオリジナルメンバーの5人が巻いた5万枚の種が、20年後にこのような形で花が咲き誇ると誰が想像できただろうか。これまでモーニング娘。の歴史を紡いできてくれたOBに感謝の気持ちを抱かずにはいられない。
While getting lost in such thoughts, what came to my eyes were the three past members: Reina Tanaka, Sayumi Michishige, and Ai Takahashi. The appearance of the legendary members resulted in a thunderous roar echoing the venue as the audience could once again do the nostalgic call of “Reina Dake-!” and hear Michishige’s verse “Nanoni doko Ittandayo-!” in “Shabondama”.
そんな物思いに耽っていた瞬間、目の前に飛び込んできたのは田中れいな、高橋愛、道重さゆみの3人だった。突然のレジェンドメンバーの登場に会場には怒号にも似た歓声が轟く。「シャボン玉」で武道館に響き渡る「れいなだけー！」のコール、道重の「なのにどこいったんだよー！」という台詞には興奮を隠しきれない。
“Resonant Blue”, the first song of so called “Platinum Era” was performed next. Dancing and singing powerfully, the current members held their own with the overwhelming performance by the legendary members. After a short MC, Mizuki Fukumura and Michihige performed the nostalgic song “Sukidana Kimiga”. “Fukumura Dash” in the news at Michishige’s last concert drifted in my mind. The scene was like a revolving lantern of the history of Morning Musume.’17.
そして現在で言うところの「プラチナ期」の始まりとされている楽曲「リゾナントブルー」へ。伝説とも呼ばれたOBたちの圧倒的なパフォーマンスを前に、現役メンバーにも負けじと食らいつこうとムキになって歌い踊り狂っていた。飯窪と石田のMCをはさみ、道重と譜久村により披露された楽曲は「好きだな君が」。道重の卒業公演で話題になった「譜久村ダッシュ」が頭をよぎる。モーニング娘。の歴史が走馬灯のように駆け巡るかのようであった。
Although Kudo and Sato had performed “Robo Kiss” at the anniversary event, on this day Nozomi Tsuji appeared as a special guest and joined them to perform the song. The appearance of the unexpected guests one after another resulted in repeated explosions of exultation.
20周年記念イベントでも披露された「ロボキッス」だが、センターステージに現れたのは工藤、佐藤、そして辻希美の3人。まさかのサプライズゲストに会場は再び歓喜の渦に包まれる。次々続々と現れるOBメンバーに会場は最高潮の盛り上がりを見せた。
After another MC with the former members, the group unveiled another new song “Gosenhu no Tasuki” which will be released in November 30th as a digital single. Ameko Kodama who wrote the lyrics of this song talked about this song as such:
OBを招いてのMCの後に披露された楽曲は11月30日にデジタルシングルとして配信される「五線譜のたすき」。作詞した児玉雨子はこのように語っている。
“I thought that I should not write the lyrics for the 20th anniversary song but anyway I wrote them for the future generation”
The curtain came down with a series of nostalgic songs sung during previous graduation concerts like “Be Alive”, “Koko ni Iruze!”, and “Namidacchi”. When Kudo shouted out the verse “Afururu Kanjou Osaechanarannosa (We cannot conceal the overflowing feeling!)” during “Namidacchi”, tears streamed from her eyes. Since that day, I have tried not to become conscious of Kudo’s graduation on December 11th. It is a fact that I came without accepting her graduation but realized that we need to see the reality as it really is.
「Be Alive」、「ここにいるぜぇ！」、「涙ッチ」など過去の卒業コンサートを彩ってきた楽曲を中心に披露し、結成20周年の記念すべき武道館公演の幕は閉じた。アンコールで披露した「涙ッチ」で「溢るる感情 抑えちゃならんのさ」と工藤が言い放った時、工藤の瞳はいつになく潤んでいるように見えた。考えないようにしていたが工藤は12月11日に卒業する。その事実を受け入れられないまま、この武道館公演を迎えてしまったのは確かだ。祭のような熱狂から一夜経った今、現実を受け止めなければならないだろう。
Counting from the day of the concert, Kudo will graduate from the group after 18 days.
この武道館コンサートから数えて、あと18日で工藤遥はモーニング娘。’17を卒業する。
