Thanksgiving Festival for the Glory of Tsubaki Factory in 2017! Special Event Report!

Tsubaki Factory held an event “tsubaki Factory 2017 Ouen Dai-Kanshasai!!! Special Live & Handshaking Event” at Ikebukuro Sunshine City on December 15, 2017. More than 1000 fans gathered at the place on even a weekday.
2017年12月15日につばきファクトリーが「つばきファクトリー 2017年応援大感謝祭!!! スッペシャルライブ&握手会イベント」を池袋サンシャインシティの噴水広場にて開催した。平日にも関わらず、会場には1000名もの観客が駆けつけた。

As the event title is named “Thanksgiving Festival”, their appreciation was thoroughly conveyed even before the event began. The staff announced that the members would perform for 60 minutes to convey the gratitude for this year, which made the audience clap hands for their kind decision. They usually perform for 30 minutes in a free event, so it was obvious that this event would become “special” beforehand.
大感謝祭と銘打ってることもあり、開演前からその気持ちは充分に伝わっていた。「1年の感謝は30分じゃ収まりきりません！60分一本勝負！」と運営スタッフが熱弁すると会場からは拍手が起こった。普段のフリーイベントは30分なのに対し、今回は60分。この時点で、このイベントが”スッペシャル”なものになるのは明確であった。

The members appeared on the stage at the appointed time. The impatient fans started to scream “S!S!S!”, even before the introduction of the first song rang. This event title clearly suggested “that song” would come first. The members rushed into 4 songs from “Special Genera~tion” to “Watashi ga Obasan ni Nattemo”, all cover songs. The expectation rose high as nobody could guess what song would be next.
定刻通りにステージに現れたつばきファクトリー。1曲目のイントロが流れ出す前から我慢できなかったファンが「ス！ス！ス！」と叫び出す。このイベントタイトルにしてこの曲が1曲目でないはずがないだろう。「スッペシャルジェネレーション」から「私がオバサンになっても」までカバー曲を４曲立て続けに披露した。もはや展開が読めないセットリストに期待が高まるばかりだった。

Kisora Niinuma had an imperious and commanding voice she had not shown before in “Kedakaku sakihokore”. Tsubaki Factory has carried everything before them in 2017 as their activities were valued highly and the group was awarded the Rookie of the Year in “Kagayaku! Nihon Record Prize”. Such achievements should lead to their confidence. They started to attract the audience with the overwhelming performance.
「気高く咲き誇れ」で今までになく凛とした表情を見せたのは新沼希空。この1年間の活動が高く評価され、「輝く!日本レコード大賞」で新人賞を受賞するなど、2017年のつばきファクトリーは破竹の勢いだった。そんな功績が自信に繋がっていることは間違いない。堂々としたパフォーマンスで観客を圧倒していく。

“Teion Yakedo”, their 3rd single released on February 21, 2018 is the love song well suited to this severe winter. The waves of capes and skirts in their costume are beautiful and these give pretty impression coupled with its choreography. Back chorus sung by Yumeno Kishimo is also distinctive feature of this song.
2018年2月21日に発売される3rdシングル「低温火傷」はこの厳冬によく似合う重厚な恋愛ソングだ。衣装のケープとスカートの揺らめきが美しく、振付とも相まって非常に可憐な印象を与えている。このグループを歌唱面で大きく支えている岸本ゆめののフェイクも印象的だ。

The group performed the famous songs of Hello! Project like “Dance de Bakoon!” and “Yumemiru Fisteen” in succession and the concert reached its peak. Answering the encore, the members again appeared on the stage and made the announcement for the activities in 2018.
ハロー！プロジェクトにおけるアンセム的楽曲を畳み掛け、会場は最高潮の盛り上がりを見せたところでイベント本編は終了した。観客のアンコールに応えるべく再びステージに現れた7人から今後のつばきファクトリーの活動に関する発表が行われた。

The title of the new songs are “Shunrenka” and “I Need You~Kanransha~” and they would hold a first solo concert at DIFA Ariake on the day of their major debut, December 22nd.
「低温火傷」と同じシングルに収録される曲名が「春恋歌」と「I Need You~観覧車~」であること、そして初のワンマンライブがメジャーデビュー当日である2018年2月22日にディファ有明で行われること。この発表に会場には大きな歓声が響いていた。

While in the excitement with the announcement, the members closed the event with their representative song in 2017 “Hatsukoi Sunrise”. The group rushed in 2017 with the momentum of major debut but they would not lose it even in 2018. But still, they are still young and immature as an idol group. Their possibilities seem endless.
サプライズ発表の興奮が冷めやらぬ中、つばきファクトリーの代表曲として定着した「初恋サンライズ」を披露し、このイベントは幕を閉じた。メジャーデビュー元年の勢いに任せて走りきった2017年だが、この勢いは衰えるどころか、2018年にますます加速していくだろう。とは言うもののまだメジャーデビューして間もない彼女たち。まだまだここからだろう、行こうぜ、つばきファクトリー。
