Minami Takahashi Announces Birthday Solo Concert at Zepp Tokyo!

Minami Takahashi, the heart and soul of AKB48 and general manager of all the “48 groups”, made a surprise announcement via the “live talk app” 755 (nana go go) on March 22 that she would be holding her first solo concert at Zepp Tokyo on her birthday, April 8.

As one of the last remaining 1st generation members of AKB48, “Takamina” (Takahashi’s nickname) has supported the group for almost 10 years and will graduate on the group’s 10th anniversary on December 8th. While details have still yet to be worked out as Takamina only announced the event a few days ago and April 8th is only 2 weeks away, this is an amazing chance to celebrate her birthday in a big way! Although she announced that it is a solo concert, could there be a star-studded lineup of guests being put together for Takamina’s special night?

Ticket reservations for fan club and mobile members started on March 23rd and will run until March 27th. Those on the waiting list will be able to reserve cancelled tickets on March 28th. It’s the 24th (half of 48) birthday of the 148cm tall leader of all “48 groups” at one of the famous venues in Tokyo on April 8th (4/8) for 4,800 yen!
