Silent Siren Show Off “Okaburi Joshi” Style in the MV for “Te wo Tsunaide”!

Girls’ rock band Silent Siren have released the MV for “Te wo Tsunaide”, one of the songs off of their upcoming self-titled 3rd album (release date: February 25). It has been chosen as the campaign song for adidas’ NEO Label SS15 line and so the members of the group are dressed in pieces from the collection.

“Okaburi joshi”, which literally means “hooded girl” in Japanese, is a fashion trend that has been getting some attention recently. It is defined by a young woman wearing a jacket with a hood casually pulled over her head. Additional elements of the look include sneakers and a backpack; in essence, it’s a casual, sporty look. If you recall one of earlier adidas’ campaigns featuring Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, you may notice that the jackets that Silent Siren are wearing in the MV are in smoky pastel colors which have been trending since autumn.

Silent Siren also released a trailer video for their album “Silent Siren”.

It might still be a bit cold to wear “okaburi joshi” fashion as shown in the MV but, it will probably be a common sight among their fans during their spring-summer tour?
