Shiina Pikarin has released the promotional video for her digital single “Dogeza Nai 〜Omae wo Hizamazukasete Yarouka〜” which is available for download now!
Pikarin only makes a short appearance in the video near the end but, it is still interesting to see all the variations of “dogeza” (kneeling on the ground with their head touching) LINE stamps parading their way up the screen in between her lyrics. LINE is a free instant messaging app that was launched by Naver Japan (now known as LINE Corporation) shortly after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami disaster to help people get in contact with each other. With over 600 million users around the world, it is one of the most popular communication apps out, especially in Japan. If you aren’t on LINE in Japan, it’s almost like saying you don’t have a mobile phone!
The song came from Pikarin’s long established practice of getting her fans to kneel on the ground in the middle of her performances. With the help of Kenta Matsukuma (ex-BiS) and her death growls, “Dogeza Nai 〜Omae wo Hizamazukasete Yarouka〜” is a heavy song worthy of being sung by a self-proclaimed 20,000-year old demon. Pikarin has spoken! Go and check if your iTunes or other online music service has “Dogeza Nai 〜Omae wo Hizamazukasete Yarouka〜” (ドゲザナイ〜お前をひざまづかせてやろうか〜) right now!
