Documentary of Legendary Pop Group Perfume is Coming to Theaters Soon!

The first documentary film of Perfume “WE ARE Perfume-WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT” will be opening in theaters across Japan on October 31, 2015!
This film contains the tour ”Perfume WORLD TOUR 3rd” held in USA, Europe, and Asia and the appearance in the music festival, SXSW 2015 held in Texas, USA. It records the their pleasure, pressure, and conflict under their performance from 2014 to 2015 which is 10 years from major debut and 15 years from forming the group.
Documentary staff has been tracking Perfume’s live concerts but, a special documentary creative team, including Taketoshi Sawatari who works at NHK Enterprise which created a documentary of Perfume’s Tokyo Dome concert, eagerly desired to make this film. Perfume agreed to the project which would imagine the current and future aspects of the group. They pursued Perfume for two months including two overseas live concerts, amassing over 500 hours of raw footage!
Documentary staff even filmed the members for the remaining dates of the world tour, capturing scenes of the members getting excited in a giant Merlion and walking through the Times Square in New York. There is also an interview that looks back from the beginning of the group to their present international superstardom.
The official site of the film “WE ARE Perfume-WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT” has been already opened and a special short movie and poster have been released. In case you need to see more Perfume right away, the DVD and Blu-ray for “Perfume WORLD TOUR 3rd”, which includes footage from their concert at HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM in New York, USA on 16th November 2014, has already been released on Blu-ray and DVD on July 22, 2015.

Our documentary for the live concert in America finally becomes a movie. I was accompanied by a reliable staff, so there would be our natural figure like hot air, rehearsal with too many clothes, faces with no-make-up and so on. LOL These are usually cut from the movie, but it is special for this time because of the USA tour! When I finished my stage that I have dreamed for three years, I was surprised by myself that I spoke about the next dream. Speaking about Perfume, we can become stronger. I would like to see many people to see us, team Perfume, fighting in USA.

I was given a documentary film as a great present for the 15 year anniversary of Perfume. In this movie, you can see that I made a big mistake during part of the performance from my commentary. I was going to erase the mistake from my memory…but the director did not edit it out! (LOL)
It holds what Perfume have built and will build, and it becomes another one of my treasure.
Kashiyuka (Yuka Kashino):
This is the first time that our documentary movie is made. It reminds me that our live concerts do not become a success by only us but, with those who support and give power to us, we could do our best for those people. It is not overemphasized that everything that composes Perfume is filled in the movie. It is my pleasure if you enjoy it.
