Haruka Shimazaki’s Graduation Song and Other MVs From AKB48’s 46th Single

AKB48 had a Culture Day (November 3) treat for fans as they unveiled the MVs for Haruka Shimazaki’s graduation song and the other tracks from their 46th single “High Tension” (release date: November 16) during their Autumn Festival (秋祭り, Aki Matsuri) at Yokohama Pacifica!
The MV for “Osaekirenai Shoudou” has Seina Fukuoka introducing the rest of Waiting Circle to the exciting world of quadcopters, leading to the formation of a drone club. While the preview is extremely light and cheerful, what will the outcome be in the end?
Following in the footsteps of other graduation songs before them, “Better” has Haruka Shimazaki being joined by the members of the 9th generation, with even graduated member Mariya Nagao returning. Fans of AKB48’s ace “ponkotsu” member will have to watch this one several times just to get through the preview because it might be too much to handle emotionally.
In “Hoshizora wo Kimi ni”, Team 8 EAST struggle to decide on what to do for their school festival until Yui Oguri suggests the simple yet overly ambitious idea of doing everything that was suggested. The preview ends with the members dancing but it should be interesting to see what will happen on the day of the festival.
Team 8 WEST serve up a heaping mix of culinary delights and spirited dancing in the MV for “Shishunki no Adrenaline”. It’s no wonder that the word “kuidaore” which means “to eat oneself into ruin” originates from the western part of Japan.
The glowing neon MV of “Seishun Tired” by Tentomu-Chu will do anything but put you to sleep as the camera zooms and pans in on multiple copies of the members throwing a wild dance party. It would have been even more impressive if 360° camera technology was used to create a VR experience where the viewer could chose where they wanted to watch during the MV. The files are IN the computer!
“High Tension” will be sold in 5 limited editions and 5 regular versions. The coupling song for all versions is “Osaekirenai Shoudou” by Waiting Circle. The Type-A exclusive track is “Happy End” by Renatchies. The Type-B exclusive track is “Better”, Haruka Shimazaki’s graduation song. The Type-C exclusive track is “Hoshizora wo Kimi ni” by Team 8 EAST. The Type-D exclusive track is “Shishunki no Adrenaline” by Team 8 WEST. The Type-E exclusive track is “Seishun Tired” by Tentomu-Chu. The DVDs for each version include the MVs for “High Tension” and “Osaekirenai Shoudou” and their exclusive track. The limited editions include an event ticket and the regular versions include a randomly selected nama shashin”. If you’re planning to see “Paruru” one last time, this is the single you MUST GET because her final handshake event will be on December 24, 2016.
