palet‘s 1st album “LOVE n’ ROLL!!” Set to Steamroll All Competition in 2015!
The track listing and artist photo for palet’s first album “LOVE n’ ROLL!!” (release date: March 4, 2015) have been revealed.
In the photo the members are wearing new outfits designed by Mio Masui from PASSPO☆, giving off the refreshing feeling of springtime. Because red is considered a color associated with competition, palet’s fighting spirit seems to be overflowing as they stride towards their first major label album.
Of course, the track listing is also bursting with extravagance. In addition to all of the 9 songs starting from their major label debut “Believe in Yourself!” until the most recent “SNOW DISTANCE” (including coupling songs), 6 new songs have been recorded, bringing the total to 15 songs! The lead track “Run to the New Wind” is a forward-facing song packed with hopes and dreams for the future created by the tag team of legendary producer Tetsuya Komuro and composer Hiromasa Ijichi. The combination of Ichiji who was responsible for SPEED, one of the most successful girl groups in Asia (over 20 million singles/albums sold from 1996 to 2000), and Komuro, who has produced multi-million selling hits for Namie Amuro and TRF, as well as his own group globe, may be considered to be a miracle collaboration for a group as young as palet. The all-star lineup of names contributing songs to the album also includes Maki Watase and Tatsuya Hirakawa from the legendary rock band Lindberg and Koji Makaino, arranger of Hideki Saijo’s (the male idol said to have started the long-running streak of success for the Johnny’s empire) first album “Chance wa Ichido (1972). Not just limited to those who have produced amazing music before the members of palet were born, Sumire Yoshida from Silent Siren and Aiji from visual kei band LM.C are also among contributors to the album.
Even though one may argue that with the decline of music sales, hiring such revered composers and producers has also gotten cheaper, palet’s first album boasts an unprecedented lineup of talent that reads like a “Who’s Who of Japanese Music”. With decades of experience backing up the first album of one of Japan’s hottest rising idol groups, “LOVE n’ ROLL!!” is not to be missed! Palet will be debuting their new outfits as well as “Run to the New Future” at their upcoming “triple birthday” concert for Yui Fujimoto, Miyuki Hiraguchi, and Saki Takeda at Yakult Hall on January 31. Also coming up for palet in 2015, they will be have an Osaka/Nagoya/Tokyo spring tour in support of their album and celebrate their 3rd anniversary with a concert at Yebisu Garden Place’s Garden Hall in June. Having hit the ground running at the start of the New Year, palet is definitely a group to watch closely in 2015!
