Morning Musume. ’15 have released the MVs for “Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru” and “Yugure wa Ameagari” from their triple A-side single “Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru/Yugure wa Ameagari/IMA KOKO KARA” (release date: April 15). The main story that seems to be bothering fans is the replacement of Kanon Suzuki by Juice=Juice’s Karin Miyamoto due to Suzuki being sidelined with an ankle injury. As soon as a preview of the videos were shown on the March 25th episode of Hello! Project Station, majority of the comments were about the absence of Suzuki and the replacement by Miyamoto.
“Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru” is a mid-tempo EDM song showcasing the formation dancing that has been the staple of Morning Musume. releases for the past few years. Reflecting the hard beats in the song, the members outfits are adorned with chrome spikes and chain mail.
“Yugure wa Ameagari” is a slower song with an elegant piano melody with the members dancing in front of a cherry blossom tree and beautiful closeups as the petals fall slowly, giving it a strong feeling of springtime in Japan. The 12th generation members are easily identifiable by their white outfits and boots with lower heels.
“Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru/Yugure wa Ameagari/IMA KOKO KARA” will be released in 4 different versions that come with a DVD and two regular CD-only versions. Limited edition Type-A includes the MV for “Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru”, limited edition Type-B includes the MV for “Yugure wa Ameagari”, limited edition Type-C includes the MV for “IMA KOKO KARA”, and limited edition Type-D includes the dance shot MV for “Seishun Kozo ga Naiteiru” as well as the making of for that video and “Yugure wa Ameagari”.
For the sake of Kanon Suzuki fans all over the world, we hope she makes a complete recovery soon even though ankle injuries are hard to come back from, especially when one is expected to dance at the level that Morning Musume. does. Thankfully, Hello! Project has members like Karin Miyamoto who were able to fill in the formation. Maybe there will be versions of the MVs with Suzuki once she recovers but until then, this was what had to be done in order for Morning Musume. ’15 to stay on schedule for 2015.
