AKB48 Minami Minegishi to Be Starring in the Leading Role in a Mystery Film “Joshikou”, Girls’ High School!

It turned out that AKB48 Minami Minegish will be starring in the leading role in a film titled “Joshikou” (Girls’ high school). The movie will be release in spring 2016.
Joshikou is a murder mystery story. Six young woman, including Katsuki Takahashi (Minami Minegishi), hold a high school reunion, but their high school has been closed 7 years ago. In the beginning, the girls are happy to see each other, however, one person dies suddenly at the classroom. Receiving a text message from Natsumi Shirakawa who died 7 years ago, the girls try to figure out the incidents looking back at their school days 7 years ago.
Making a homage to Atsuko Maeda’s legendary pharases, Minami Minegishi commented that “Even if you hate me, I would like you to watch the film, as I beat my brains out to get right into Katsuki Takahashi”.
The director of the film is Hiroki Yamamoto, who is known for the director of the film “Real Onigokko”. Many upcoming talented actors are starring in the film as well ; Riho Takada, Haru Izumi, Erina Nakayama, Shiori Kitayama, Ayana Sogawa, Mika Ushio, Ryohei Abe, and Toru Kazama.
