Aoyama☆Saint Hachamecha High School (also known as “Mecha High”) go wild in the streets of Akihabara in the MV for their major debut single “NEVER MIND” (release date: June 24)!

In the video, the 7 current members of Mecha High run through the streets of of Akihabara while showing off places like: the Electric Town exit of Akihabara station, Akibaoo, Kanda Myojin, Yarou Ramen, and Akiba Drug & Cafe. As hinted by the Sex Pistols-influenced cover art for the single, “NEVER MIND” is an upbeat pop punk song. This was not to imply that the Sex Pistols were pop punk by any means but, looking at a cover like the one below, it would be weird if it was a cutesy bubblegum pop song or a ballad, right? Then again, we should know by now to never judge a CD’s contents by its cover, especially in Japan…never mind.

“NEVER MIND” will be released in 8 different versions: a regular version and 1 version for each of the 7 members of Mecha High. The coupling songs are titled “NEW WORLD” and “Sky High”. Each CD comes with a voting ticket where fans can choose which 7 members of the “Mecha High Family” will be selected to represent the group for the next single. The “Mecha High Family” consists of the current members of the group and the “MF (Moving Factory) Girls”, who are trainees. Also, the top 3 members who end up selling the most copies of their version of “NEVER MIND” will be presented with a solo song and the #1 selling member will be the center of the next single. It’s like the AKB48 election but it happens for every single!
