Idol rap unit lyrical school will be releasing their new album “SPOT” on March 10 and they have released a MV for the lead track “I.D.O.L.R.A.P”.

The song was written for lyrical school by ALI-KICK from the hip-hop group ROMANCREW and it’s overflowing with funky old school flavor. In sharp contrast, almost nothing happens in the MV! Then again, with so much going on in the song, it’s probably best that you just put on some headphones and listen while nodding your head?

In addition to including their recent singles like their Oricon top 10 ranked “PRIDE” (#9) and “FRESH !!!” which was composed by tofubeats, there is a bonus re-recording of “S.T.A.G.E” with the current 6-member lineup. “S.T.A.G.E” was the coupling song for lyrical school’s 3rd single “PARADE” (release date: May 15, 2013) and the last single for former leader Erika who graduated on June 28, 2013.

As this information was just revealed, the only place that the album is available for pre-order now is on the Tower Records Japan website. However, as a group on T-Palette records, you can be sure that they will be out doing a lot of release events all over Japan in March. Rest up and save your energy because their label-mate UPUPGIRLS (KARI) is also releasing an album the week after on March 17th too! They will also be performing together at Shinjuku BLAZE on February 23 so don’t miss it!
