The First Detailed Information on “HARAJUKU KAWAii FES 2013” Revealed!

The first lineup of participating artists for “HARAJUKU KAWAii FES 2013”, a free large-scale event that involves whole Harajuku town for 2 days (Oct 5 & Oct 6) has been revealed!

Lots of fantastic artists will make appearances in the 2nd annual festival following the last year.
Especially worldwide HARAJUKU icon Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, but also popular girls band with 4 amatur models Silent Silen, 4 girls band known as their fantasic and alternative rock sound Negoto, up-and-coming girls band breaking common sense with their awesome performance skill and its presence Akai Koen, and more artists will enliven the festival!

Furthermore, popular Aomoji-kei models such as Shiho Takechi, Rina Tanaka, Fumiko Aoyagi and Natsume Mito will also make appearances.
There will be fashion shows on a stage called “Magazine Stage”, the shows will be collaborated with magazines such as HR, KERA, Zipper, CHOKi CHOKi, CHOKi CHOKi girls, FRUiTS, mer and Used Mix.

Moreover, a key visual art produced by Sebastian Masuda, who is the leading person of Kawaii culture, has been also revealed!

Mr. Masuda commented about the visual, “This time, I took a exclusive picture for ‘HARAJUKU KAWAii!!’ from his visual work series ‘Colorful Rebellion.’ Please enjoy the real atmosphere in 2013’s Harajuku, such as freedom, uniqueness and edginess. It may be described such as Sparkly, Fluffy, and Spicy.”

This large-scale festival will bring all Harajuku’s Kawaii culture together.
