Town of Hiroshima takes on “HARAJUKU KAWAii!!” Style!

HARAJUKU KAWAii!! is a festival that is held under the theme “to make ‘KAWAII’ the global keyword of fashion.” Lots of Aomoji-kei models, world famous artists and creators participate every time. The event is now gathering attention not only in Japan but also from overseas.

Following last year, such “HARAJUKU KAWAii!!” took place at NTT Cred Hall, Hiroshima on November 17th. Silent Siren‘s cute performance kicked off the event splendidly.

After that, when a pioneer of Aomoji-kei models, Shiho Takechi, appeared on the stage, the audience got higher excited. The audience enjoyed HARAJUKU fashion, that gathers much attention worldwide, mainly in fashion shows by popular Aomoji-kei models. Furthermore, performances of many artists who have own individuality of various genres, such as TEMPURA KIDZ, Yun*chi, Natsuko Kondo, Anna Yano, Una, and Dempagumi.inc heated up the venue.

Exclusive talk shows by popular models and Kumano makeup brushes were also held on the stage. In addition, there was a collaborative stage with Shinhiroshima Telecasting’s popular program “Hiroshima Manten Mama!!.” The audience greatly enjoyed the attractive contents unique to Hiroshima.

At the end of the event, all participated models appeared again on the stage. Then, to spread “HARAJUKU KAWAii!!” to the whole world from now on, they took a commemorative photo with all visitors, saying the slogan “HARAJUKU!” and “KAWAii!!” as a signal to release a shutter. Thus, HARAJUKU KAWAii!! 2013 in HIROSHIMA ended in great success.

Furthermore, “HARAJUKU KAWAii!!” will spread to Okinawa this year. On December 1st, it will take place at Okinawa Convention Center Exhibition Hall.
