J-Music LAB is collaborating with Indonesia’s Hai magazine to bring 2 exciting days of Japanese music to Jakarta this November at Hai Day 2014!

On November 8th and 9th, a diverse group of Japanese artists representing idols, rock, fashion, and anime: Dorothy Little Happy, AMIAYA, TarO&JirO, I DON’T LIKE MONDAYs, Cyntia, and Eir Aoi will be performing at Hai Day 2014.

November 8, 2014 (Saturday)

AMIAYA – A duo of twin models from Shizuoka, AMIAYA combine elements of fashion and an eclectic mix of genres to create what they call “Tokyo Pop” (as opposed to J-pop). This will be their second time performing in Jakarta.

TarO&JirO – Proof that a big sound does not need a big band; brothers Taro and Jiro need only their guitars, voices, and a kick drum to rock your face off! Having spent time in Europe honing their skills, winning awards, and sharing the stage with internationally known rock gods like Steve Vai and Joe Satriani, are you prepared for the TarOJirOck experience to return to Jakarta?

Dorothy Little Happy – Undeterred by the Tohoku earthquake of 2011, Sendai’s Dorothy Little Happy have become one of Japan’s well-known idol groups, regularly ranking in the Oricon’s top 10. They will take you over the rainbow with their energetic singing and dancing.

November 9, 2014 (Sunday)

I DON’T LIKE MONDAYs. – Fronted by vocalist Yu who lived in Jakarta and claims it as his second home, this band formed in the fashionable Omotesando district of Tokyo wants to provide the music for all the “it girls” to dance to as long as it isn’t a Monday. Kick back and enjoy the laid-back sounds of I DON’T LIKE MONDAYs.

Eir Aoi – Hokkaido’s Eir Aoi has made a name for herself in just a few short years, singing the theme songs for the animes: Fate/Zero (“Memoria”), Mobile Suit Gundam Age (“Aurora”), Kill La Kill (“Sirius”), and Sword Art Online (“Innocence”, “NIji no Oto”, and “Ignite”). Don’t miss this chance to see this rising star of the anisong world!

Cyntia – Delivering a heaping dose of crushing drums, grinding guitars, thundering bass, wicked keyboards, and soaring vocals while looking like they stepped out of a fashion magazine, Cyntia will have you banding your heads and pumping your fists, if you can stop staring at them, that is. This will be Cyntia’s first time in Indonesia.
