Japanese festival idol group FES☆TIVE have released the MV for their major label debut single “Omatsuri Hero” (release date: May 13).
Filmed at a shrine, the 8 members of FES☆TIVE cheerfully sing about the fun things about Japanese festivals while showing off the type of energetic performance that has earned them a reputation as one of the must-see idol groups of any “taiban event” (any event where multiple groups/artists perform). The song is a mix of rock and traditional Japanese music which is one of the distinctive features of many summer songs in Japan.
Having won a popularity contest held for the 15 groups who appeared on the Tokuma Japan compilation “Aifi! – Real Kei Idol Battle -“ that was released in August of 2014, FES☆TIVE was signed and is making their major label debut with “Omatsuri Hero”.
“Omatsuri Hero” will be released in one version but the two coupling songs have yet to be announced. If you have already preordered “Omatsuri Hero” or made plans to reserve it at one of FES☆TIVE’s many events all over Japan, you can continue to support them with the CHEERZ app. Starting from February, the 3 most popular idols on CHEERZ will be interviewed by Tokyo Girls’ Update and the #1 ranked idol will appear on our NHK World program which debuts on April 17, 2015!
