E-girls Try their Hand at Wire Action in “Mr. Snowman” Music Video
A music video has been uploaded for the new single from E-girls, titled “Mr. Snowman“, which will be released on November 26th. This is a dance pop tune that has already been used in TV commercials in Japan, and whose catchy refrain lingers in the listener’s ear long after hearing it.
The wardrobe of the group’s members in the video makes quite an impression, as they wear white dresses reminiscent of a world cloaked in snow, which gives the video a slightly different flavor than their usual colorful poppy color theme. The main appeal of this music video, which expresses the thrilling feelings of winter romance through a fantastical world, is the performances the girls make in various scenarios that look just like scenes taken from a children’s storybook.
There are highlights at every turn in the video, including a dance scene with a mirror motif done by Shuka and Karen Fujii, with flawlessly matched movements achievable only by two sisters, and wire-action scenes with Karen Fujii, Nozomi Bando, and Anna Ishii, in which the three girls took on the feat of flying for the first time in fairy costumes while challenged by the unfamiliar movements involved.
Through this story, in which Karen Fujii as the main character makes her way optimistically toward her lover, while becoming ever more beautiful along the way, the E-girls cheer on the romantic endeavors of girls everywhere this winter. The song is also sure to give vitality and courage to men who are romantic late bloomers, like the “snowman” that appears in the song’s title and lyrics.
