Cat Scratch Fever! Dempagumi.inc and Hello Kitty Form Special Summer Unit to Fight Mosquito Bites!
Summertime in Japan is famous for many fun things like fireworks and festivals but, one of the bad things is that it can get really hot and humid which brings out lots of mosquitoes. But not is all lost! World famous Japanese pop culture icon Hello Kitty and Dempagumi.inc, the representatives of Akihabara culture have teamed up to form a special unit “PokeMuhi Motta Dempagumi.inc to, Hello Kitty” (Dempagumi.inc that has Pocket Muhi & Hello Kitty) to promote Pocket Muhi insect bite medicine.
Just as Hello Kitty and Dempagumi.inc bring smiles to the faces of their fans all over the world, Pocket Muhi promises to give users relief from the itching caused by bug bites. In the commercial, the collaboration song “MUnasawagi no HImitsu” which is the coupling song for Dempagumi’s upcoming single “Otsukare Summer!”, (release date: June 17) can be heard. The theme of the song is how the prickly, uneasy feelings of a bug bite are similar to those of a young girl’s first love. What kind of girly Dempagumi.inc will be revealed?
A special concert will be held on August 20th (“Ka no Hi”, “World Mosquito Day” in honor of Sir Ronald Ross who discovered that malaria was transmitted by mosquitoes). 300 lucky winners selected by a random drawing will win the chance to attend the special concert where Demagumi.inc and Hello Kitty will perform “MUnasawagi no HImitsu”! Of those 300, 20 extra-lucky winners will be given backstage passes where they can meet Dempagumi.inc and Hello Kitty! Unfortunately, it seems that there is no option for those without a Japanese address and phone number to apply but, there must be a few of you out there that can figure out how to apply, right?
