Bandjanaimon! give Mon-stas (their fans) a lot to celebrate in 2017 with the MV for their upcoming single “YATTA!” (release date: January 11)!

The videos may not be available in your country due to region-locking but, they are well worth figuring out how to watch them!

“YATTA!” is a remake of the song by Happa-tai (はっぱ隊) composed by DANCE☆MAN and choreography by Toru Miura (aka Carnival Miura) and follows the original MV (unofficial link) quite closely. However, Bandjanaimon! kicks up the cuteness in puffy skirts, halter tops, and happi coats instead of the underwear decorated with leaves like the original performers.

Revealed right before Christmas 2016 was the MV for Bandjanaimon!’s other single “YAKIMOCHI” (release date: January 11) which has the members dolled up in evening dresses and jazzing things up and pounding and grilling mochi, a common practice during the New Year’s celebrations. While “yakimochi” can mean “grilled rice cake” (焼き餅), it can also mean “jealousy” (ヤキモチ).

Bandjanaimon! have some big things in store for 2017 as shown in their video outlining their “PERFECT YEAR 2017” plan. Starting with the simultaneous release of “YAKIMOCHI” and “YATTA!” on January 11th, they will be holding concerts for 5 straight days in February. Dubbed “PERFECT WEEK”, the yet unspecified concerts will run from February 13th until February 17th. The themes/conditions for the different lives are as follows: male only (February 13), glasses (February 14), pajamas (February 15), female only (February 16), all welcome (February 17). Bandjanaimon! goods will also be appearing in UFO catchers across Japan due to a collaboration with SEGA. On March 8th, Bandjanaimon!’s new album “Kanpeki Shugi no Sekai ni Fukanzen na Ongaku wo” will be released with solo concerts in Osaka (Shinsaibashi BIG CAT) on April 29th and Tokyo (Shin-Kiba Studio Coast) on May 14th. Bandjanaimon!’s first style book will follow in April, accompanied by their first anime opening theme song, which will also be released as a single. As if that wasn’t enough, Omomoko Ameterasu changed her name to Sunrise Omomoko on January 1st! A new day is dawning for Bandjanaimon! in 2017 for sure!

“YATTA!” will be released in a regular version with the coupling song “Suki Paradise” and 3 “otoshidama” (New Year’s money) editions with live recordings from their May 18, 2016 concert at Akasaka BLITZ: “Kimemaster” (Type-A), “White Youth” (Type-B), and “NaMiDa” (Type-C). “YAKIMOCHI” will be released in a regular version with the coupling song “Long long ashi” and 3 “otoshidama” editions with live recordings from their May 18, 2016 concert at Akasaka BLITZ: “Kimi no Egao de Sekai ga Yabai” (Type-A), “Kimochi Dake Sanka Shimasu.” (Type-B), and “RAVE RAVE RAVE” (Type-C). “Kanpeki Shugi no Sekai ni Fukanzen na Ongaku wo” will be released in a limited edition with a Blu-ray featuring all the MVs from their single’s released since their re-debut and a regular “low-cost” version. Both versions will include 15 songs (subject to change).
