Bandjanaimon! Wants to Make You Smile With Their Colorful and Poppy MV for “Kimi no Egao de Sekai ga Yabai”!

Bandjanaimon! have released a MV for “Kimi no Egao de Sekai ga Yabai” from their first full album “Re:start” (release date: April 22).

The MV was directed by Toshitaka Shinoda and features lots of colorful pop art animation and the members in Bandjanaimon! in new outfits inspired by school uniforms, kimono, maids, and China dresses. Shinoda has previously directed MVs for Moso Calibration, including the one for “Mahou no Juice” with its LED skirts, which is probably why some of this video may feel familiar.

“Kimi no Egao de Sekai ga Yabai” was composed by Tatsuya Okuwaki, guitarist of the band AKASICK, and it’s overflowing with an energetic rock feel, emphasized by the drumming of Misako Suzuhime.

“Re:start” will be released in a limited edition version with a DVD and a regular CD-only version. The DVD has 9 songs from their February 7, 2015 performance at Shinjuku BLAZE. There is also a special limited poster which will be included with the purchase of the CD at 9 Tower Records shops across Japan: Sapporo Pivot, Sendai Parco, Shinjuku Flags, Yokohama Vivre, Nagoya Parco, Umeda NU Chayamachi (Osaka), Kobe, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka Parco. If you are in Japan but nowhere near any of those Tower Records locations, there is a limited postcard that will come with the CD and a sticker for those who go to HMV.
