A-rin Resurgence! Ayaka Sasaki (Momoiro Clover Z) Breaks Into Tokyo Idol Festival 2016!

One of the biggest highlights of Tokyo Idol Festival 2016 came at the beginning of the first day August 5th, when Ayaka Sasaki (aka A-rin) of the legendary group Momoiro Clover Z began the event with an unforgettable solo performance at the brand new Ship Stage!
Momoiro Clover appeared at the SMILE GARDEN during the first Tokyo Idol Festival held in 2010, standing out in this IDOL AGE with their dynamic performance. However, that was their first and last appearance at event, so the return of A-rin in 2016 was earth-shattering news for many idol fans. The “Idol of MomoClo” broke into Tokyo Idol Festival as soloist, packing the stage with the highest capacity.
A lot of fans dressed in pink (A-rin’s color) were lined up since the early hours of the morning to get their numbered tickets for A-rin’s anticipated stage. Another long line formed near the Museum of Maritime Science as they waited eagerly to board the Ship Stage anchored at the edge of Tokyo Bay. The area at the very front of the stage was filled with Pink Mononofu immediately, and other idol fans and onlookers also came to the stage in order to witness firsthand just how great the performance of the IDOL from the “King of Live” is. The burning sun heated them during awaiting for the time of departure.
Exactly at 10am, Momoiro Clover Z’s “Overture” rang out, igniting the overheated fans, and they responded with an “A-rin MIX” (MIX with only the call of her name “A-rin!”). With a cute costume representing strawberry shortcake, the princess popped onto the stage! In a moment everyone understood everything, heating up even more with the posture of the intoxicating “Datte A-rin Nandamo-n!!”. A Loud A-rin MIX broke through to the stage again as her fans continued to go wild. During the interlude she did a fast-costume-change, going from a shortcake into a pink colored gorgeous dress in front of fans for the first time in many years.
A-rin made her characteristic self-introduction with the fans responding to her call for the first time on a Tokyo Idol Festival stage since 2010. She thanked everyone for coming to the Ship Stage so early in the morning and for the opportunity to return. Then, what is the next? Of course, her another solo track “A-rin wa Hankouki!”. Her cool dance performance with red-candy-coated high heels, cute strawberry tiara and pink-colored fine dress, captivated the audience with her pure princess aura!
With considerable sorrow, she introduced next song would be the last one: her first solo performance of “Link Link”, MomoClo’s prime song featuring A-rin. Her melodious singing cooled the atmosphere down, and the stage was filled with happy atmosphere. Declaring Tokyo Idol Festival 2016 having officially begun, A-rin left the stage but remained burned into the memories of her fans.
