AKB48 Debut Sparkly 45th Single “LOVE TRIP” on THE MUSIC DAY!

AKB48 debuted “LOVE TRIP” from their double A-side 45th single, “LOVE TRIP/Shiawase wo Wakenasai” (release date: August 31) during the second half of the 11-hour broadcast of THE MUSIC DAY “Natsu no Hajimari.” on July 2, 2016.
The song which features Rino Sashihara and the other top 16 members of AKB48’s 8th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo, is a break from the easy to copy dance songs of the past 3 years and is a rock-style love song. “LOVE TRIP” is the theme song for the 2016 live action drama adaptation of the popular novel Toki wo Kakeru Shojo (Girl Who Leapt Through Time).
“LOVE TRIP/Shiawase wo Wakenasai” will be released in 5 limited editions and 5 regular versions. “Shiawase wo Wakenasai” is the latest commercial song for Zexy, a big company that works to get young Japanese people married as soon as possible (because if you aren’t married by the time you are 30 in Japan, you are considered a failure). The third track available on all versions is titled “Hikari to Kage no Hibi” and is the ABC Asahi theme song for the Koushien summer high school baseball tournament. Here is the distribution of the other songs for the single: Undergirls (Type-A), Next Girls (Type-B), Future Girls (Type-C), Upcoming Girls (Type-D). A yet unnamed song with an unknown senbatsu will be the Type-E exclusive track. As always, the limited edition copies include an event participation ticket and the regular versions include a nama shashin.
