Zenbu Kimi no Sei Da uncover a few sparks of light lurking deep within their dark souls in the MVs from their first CD single “Mudai Gasshou” (release date: April 6)!

With a light melody, “Mudai Gasshou” sends out heavy waves of nostalgia and a sense of longing for someone no longer there. Even if you do not understand the lyrics, just looking at the animation and the expression of the characters, you should be able to understand what the song is bringing out. The cute love shared by the characters, especially the girl, who was hoping that the guy wouldn’t leave her, is reminiscent of high school relationships that happen in real life and in fiction. One could even say that this is comparing the emotions that fans feel for idols when they first meet and start liking them. However, the MV ends on a sad note as the girl is shown in an ambulance shortly after being walked home by the boy. This song encourages us to notice the little things in our lives and reminds us not to take things for granted as we never know what will happen next.

Dark themes have been one of the main selling points for ZenKimi compared to other idol groups, whether it’s their music or members. For “Ueyu Ueyu Uoo ~ Hinekure no Tari ~” (Way you Way you Woahh? ~ Hinekure no Tari ~”, we have no idea how to Romanize the title), loneliness, negative pandemic, attention seeking, and themes of conflicting personalities, jump out from the lyrics. In the MV, members are seen wrecking and burning things and splashing buckets of paint. At another point, when the members are alone and preparing to commit suicide, they seem to split into two parts. Could this be an interpretation of the different personalties splitting apart? Another theme is the darkness that dwells within the hearts of people, which ZenKimi brings out in full force. Being alone isn’t easy and often people give up too easily, distracted by the conflicting voices in their head. Don’t give in to the dark side!

“Mudai Gasshou” includes a third track titled “Bocchi Connect Owari”. Fans have reacted enthusiastically to the MVs that manage to capture the cute and happy sides of the “sick” idols, which is something new compared to their previous MVs.
