Yurumerumo! Reveal the MV for “Ningen wa Sukoshi Fumajime” From “Onna no Ko yo Shitai to Odore”!

Yurumerumo! have unearthed the MV for “Ningen wa Sukoshi Fumajime”, the theme song for their film “Onna no Ko yo Shitai to Odore” and one of the 2 new songs on the Eiga Special CD “Onnanoko yo Shitai to Odore” (release date: October 21)!

The MV is comprised of scenes from the film and the haunting lyrics by Ai Kobayashi seem to float weightlessly above the ethereal and chaotic instrumentation of Kazuma Hayashida (Hakoniwa no Shitsunaigaku). The producer of Yurumerumo!, Taichi Take, explained that when he first saw the film, he wanted to convey the feeling of sunlight blending together with white noise, a sound reminiscent of British shoegaze bands My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive.

Choreography for the scene where Yurumerumo! are dancing on the roof of a building while dressed in white was designed by Mone. Because “Ningen wa Sukoshi Fumajime” had not been completed at the time of filming, she explained that she adapted the choreography from another of their songs “NNN”. Mone expressed delight that it ended up matching with “Ningen wa Sukoshi Fumajime”, citing that the concept was rooted in the image of religious ceremony and prayer and was inspired by ballet.

“Onna no Ko yo Shitai to Odore” will premiere at Cinem@rt Shinjuku (Tokyo) on October 31st and Cinem@rt Shinsaibashi (Osaka) on November 14th. Yurumerumo! is also holding several release events for their upcoming second album “YOU ARE THE WORLD” (release date: November 11) and will be holding a year end live concert at Zepp Diver City Tokyo on December 20, 2015.
