On March 5, AKB48‘s soon-to-be graduate member Yuko Oshima held her solo event “Oshima Yuko Thanksgiving Festival” at Intex Osaka. There were her mini concert, handshake meeting, and the exhibition titled “Oshima Yuko museum.” In front of 3,000 fans who was chosen by lottery, she shared her gratitude saying I am slightly overwhelmed, wondering whether it is OK that I use this venue all by myself, but I am also very happy. The concert at Kokuritsu Kyogijo (the National Stadium) was canceled due to rain and a storm. However, since I can stand here today as Yuko Oshima from AKB48 and express my gratitude to everybody, when I think that if we had held the graduation ceremony on that day it would have been the end, and that I do not know how I would have felt, I positively think that the way things have turned out has been for the best!

In the section of mini concert, she sang “Nakinagara Hohoende” enthusiastically after she stated words “It will be my almost last time to sing this song.” She also performed “Heavy Rotation”, “Anata ga Itekurata kara”, “To be continued”, and “Maeshika Mukanee.”

Then, she expressed her actual feelings again.

“There is 1 month left until my graduation. When I think that there will not be any more handshake events in which I will be able to feel everybody’s warmth, I feel lonely, but being able to feel the fans support directly in this way is what AKB48 is all about. When I think that my voice will not reach my fans directly anymore, I become uneasy about what will become of me in the future…” Her tears choked up her words.

Immediately, shouts of encouragement saying “Be strong!” raised from the audience, to which Oshima responded expressing her resolution once again by saying “I will. This is something I decided by myself.” When she added “Please keep on pushing my back. Let’s unite our strength… and make June 8th a bright day!” her words were received by a reverberating grand applause from the audience.

After the concert ended, the Music Video for her graduation song “Kyou made no Melody” was also revealed for the first time.
In the MV, not only the current members, but also 10 graduate members, who were 2nd generation members like Oshima, make their appearances.

The 16 current members who sing the song along with Oshima are Ayaka Umeda, Yuki Kashiwagi, Rina Kawaei, Rie Kitahara, Asuka Kuramochi, Haruna Kojima, Mako Kojima, Kana Kobayashi, Rino Sashihara, Haruka Shimazaki, Minami Takahashi, Jurina Matsui, Minami Minegishi, Sae Miyazawa, Yui Yokoyama and Mayu Watanabe.

The 10 graduate members include Sayaka Akimoto, Yu Imai, Megumi Ohori, Tomomi Kasai, Natsuki Sato, Ayana Takada, Kayo Noro, Kaoru Hayano, Yuka Masuda, and Natsumi Matsubara.
