Yurumerumo! have pulled the trigger on the MVs for “id Idol” and “Only You” from their 2nd album “YOU ARE THE WORLD” (release date: November 11)!
The MV for “id Idol”, which was directed by Mani Kato, puts a twist on the “video within a video” concept from “Nemutai CITY vs Dokusho Nikki”. As the members of Yurumerumo! finish up a take for a music video, the director pulls out a gun on and shoots them dead! Their lives flash before their eyes for several minutes before they come back to life and start dancing, returning the opening scene, the screen going black after the director pulls out the gun once again. It seems that all of the members have somehow gotten the powers of immortality that Ano had in their first starring film “Onna no Ko yo Shitai to Odore”. The lyrics and music for “id Idol” were written by Mariko Goto and she also arranged the song with Kazuma Hashida from Hakoniwa no Shitsunaigaku. The thumbnail photo for the YouTube video was shot by photographer and Miss iD 2016 semifinalist Mitifo.
The MV for “Only You” was directed by Dan Cervi, who previously directed their MVs for “Sweet escape” and “Mokuyou Attitude”, and it is a psychedelic journey through the universe and beyond. The music was composed by Daichi Take and Kazuma Hashida from Hakoniwa no Shitsunaigaku with lyrics by Ai Kobayashi. Hashida also arranged the song.
Yurumerumo! are wrapping up 2015 with the finale of their 7-city autumn “YOU ARE THE WORLD” tour at Zepp Diver City on December 20th. Everybody hamidasumo!
