The toast goes flying as UPUPGIRLS (KARI) take a page straight out of the handbook of anime cliches and make it unforgettably bizarre in the “Future Music Video” for one of their classic songs “Bare Bare I LOVE YOU”!

Contributor Wanted!!

While most may know of them for their athletic appearances and high energy nonstop live performances, UPUPGIRLS (KARI) show off their underrated girlish sides as each of the members play schoolgirls late for school. Rounding a corner with a slice of toast in their mouths, they run right into their romantic destiny! Starting off with Manami Arai crashing into a normal transfer student, each time the cycle repeats, things get more and more ridiculous. It might be the most absurd MV to use a trope from anime ever?

This is the first of 3 parts to their “Upga Seifuku Seishun Collection” project. The second part includes the release of a 360° VR mini-drama “Upga ga Boku ni Koi wo Shita”. The third and final part includes the screening of another version of the MV, a special viewing area for the VR mini-drama, and a seifuku live performance to be held at AKIBA Cultures Theater on July 31st. It seems that for now at least, only those lucky 298 fans who can get a ticket for that day will be able to experience UPUPGIRLS (KARI) like never before! Don’t take your eyes off of them as they battle their way toward their first challenge at the legendary Nippon Budokan on November 11th!
