Tezuka Osamu Touch Illustration of Hatsune Miku Revealed! Tezuka Production Collaboration Event With Isao Tomita and Hatsune Miku Coming Up on November!

Tezuka productions, Ltd. for Osamu Tezuka’s manga production, has revealed the “Tezuka Osamu touch illustration of Hatsune Miku” that was drawn for the event “Isao Tomita Memorial Special Performance Isao Tomita x Hatsune Miku ‘Dr. Coppelius'” coming up on November 11 and 12.
The world wide composer and synthesizer artist Isao Tomita, who has unfortunately passed away in May, is famous for creating a large number theme songs for Osamu Tezuka’s animations since the 60s such as “Kimba the White Lion” and “Princess Knight”. Although animation was a genre that was looked down upon during that period, Tomita used cutting edge techniques and rich melodies that was acknowledged by men and women of all ages.
In order to express respect and sympathy over the death of the great composer , Tezuka Productions has decided to do a collaboration with Hatsune Miku that used to be Tomita’s late years’ partner-like figure, and produced the “Tezuka Osamu touch illustration of Hatsune Miku”. This collaboration became true with the cooperation of Crypton Future Media that was also involved in Tomita’s creations.
Next year will be the 85th birthday of Isao Tomita, 90th birthday of Osamu Tezuka, and 10th anniversary of the release of Hatsune Miku’s first software, and we can look forward to their further developments! In addition, “Tezuka Osamu touch illustration of Hatsune Miku” will be produced as goods and is scheduled to be on limited sale at “Isao Tomita Memorial Special Performance Isao Tomita x Hatsune Miku ‘Dr. Coppelius'”.
Also, the CD-BOX that consists Tezuka animation songs by Tomita will be released on November 9! It will include famous theme songs of “Kimba the White Lion”, “Princess Knight”, “Dororo”, “Big X”, “A Thousand and One Nights”, “Cleopatra” and more. It is the first time to release the original music of Tezuka’s anime songs, so look forward to listening to them!
