Southern Comfort! SRAM Serve up Cute Covers of Spicy Mentai Rock Classics for 3rd Single!

SRAM, the rock unit from Kyushu idol group LinQ, has really piled it on in the MVs from their 3rd single “You May Dream/Kawaii Ano Ko” (release date: June 9)!

“You May Dream” is a cover of the popular “Mentai Rock” band Sheena & The Rokkets song. The song was also recently covered by soloist Yufu Terashima as the coupling song on her major label debut single “Fuhehehehehehehe Dai Sakusen” (release date: May 20). It was a song that MYU had wanted Sheena (Etsuko Ayukawa) to hear but, the legendary Japanese rocker passed away from cervical cancer the day after tracking on it had been completed in February. Even though SRAM may lack the husky and powerful vocals of Sheena, with a plethora of cute cosplay and youthful vocals, SRAM’s version won’t be giving you any nightmares (unless you’re afraid of Lilliputians in cosplay)!

“Kawaii Ano Ko” is a cover of a classic song by famous Kyushu rock band Th eRockers. This song that has been covered by Japanese ska-punk band POTSHOT and countless other bands but, it’s doubtful that there has ever been such a cute version of it until now!
