Silent Siren have revealed the special “Anohana” limited time only MV for their cover of legendary Japanese girls’ band ZONE‘s classic song “Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~”, the coupling song from their 10th single “Hachi-gatsu no Yoru” (release date: July 29)!

Contributor Wanted!!

“Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~” is the ending theme song for the live-action drama adaptation of “Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai” (aka Anohana) which airs on TV Tokyo September 21, 2015 from 9:00pm until 11:18pm. Here is a short trailer explaining the story of “Anohana” (in Japanese). Perhaps you can get an idea of why the series has been so popular even if you don’t understand all the words?

Contributor Wanted!!

Even if you may have never heard the original version by ZONE, SCANDAL also covered “Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~” and released it as a digital single in 2010. Since the MV of Silent Siren’s version is marked as limited, it might be gone before you know it? Don’t wait!

Silent Siren is currently in Jakarta, Indonesia for a one-man live on September 19th and Sumire “Suu” Yoshida and Yukako “Yukarun” Kurosaka were guests on the September episode of NHK WORLD Tokyo Girls’ Update which premiered on September 18th. Anohana, with Silent Siren’s cover of “Secret Base ~Kimi ga Kureta Mono~” as the ending theme song airs on September 21st. It’s a very good weekend for the “Saisai Family” (name for Silent Siren fans), don’t you think?
