Silent Siren has unveiled a short preview of the MV for their 9th single and first wedding song, “Happy Marry” (release date: June 10). It is the first of 2 singles they will be releasing this summer. The second one, “Hachi-gatsu no Yoru” will be released on July 29th.
The video is full of soft lighting and brightly colored flowers with the members wearing beautiful dresses while playing but, there’s a twist! Vocalist/guitarist Suu is wearing a wedding dress! Who is the mysterious man in glasses that she’s getting married to? The video fades out before his identity is revealed! Regardless of who it might be, the image of Suu as a June bride and Silent Siren as a wedding band might be too much to handle!
During the first day of “Silent Siren Live Tour 2015 Spring Summer ~Siren VS Silent~” at Bunka Misato Hall on April 24th, Suu mentioned that a longtime female fan expressed her wish to have Silent Siren write a wedding song as a way to convince her boyfriend into proposing to her. Suu wrote the lyrics while keeping in mind the feelings of a woman who wants to get married but is having problems getting the other party to commit. Suu commented, “It’s a song that should make everyone happy, not just couples”. Performing the song for the first time at the concert, comments like “‘Happy Marry’ was so moving!” and “When I heard it, I started crying!” appeared on Twitter. Perhaps, there will be an update to the story at a future concert? Hopefully, it includes the fan being proposed to and Silent Siren agreeing to play her wedding?
“Happy Marry” got the #1 ranking on the Recochoku charts for mobile downloads. Here is Silent Siren’s reaction to the great news!
“Happy Marry” will be released in limited editions Type A and Type B as well as a regular version. Type A comes with a DVD and Type B comes with a special booklet. The coupling song for all versions is titled “clap!”.
