After months away from Yumemiru Adolescence, Rei Kobayashi‘s return has been confirmed! Having gone on indefinite hiatus in October of 2016 due to vocal cord polyps which had left her unable to sing since August, Rei appears in a short video posted to the Yumemiru Adolescence Official Twitter account at 12:01pm on April 21, 2017.
Opening with the words, “I have made you wait a long time”, the video shows Rei’s once long and flowing hair replaced by a boyish short haircut, the only sounds being her footsteps reverberating as she stretches and practices her choreography. As the scene fades to black, the words “Allow me to say ‘I’m back'” flash across the screen while “Fantastic Parade” plays. Rei’s comeback live is scheduled for June 3, 2017 at SHIBUYA duo MUSIC EXCHANGE and will be the first performance of Yumemiru Adolescence’s 4-member lineup since the withdrawal of Akari Yamada on March 31st. Ticket sales begin at 8:00pm (JST) on April 25th.
