Perfume ascend into the heavens above Japan’s capital in the MV for “TOKYO GIRL” (release date: February 15)!
Dressed in futuristic magenta and cyan outfits, the members of Perfume look down on the city lights of Tokyo from glass elevators zooming up into the night sky. “TOKYO GIRL” is the theme song for the winter 2017 drama “Tokyo Tarareba Musume” and actress Yuriko Yoshitaka who is one of the female leads makes an appearance as one of the many people moved to action by glowing pyramids, placing them all over the capital of Japan. Beams of light shoot up into the air as Perfume dance at the top of the tower, eventually joining together at its peak. Hopefully, some version of this will be integrated into one of their arena concerts in the near future?
“TOKYO GIRL” was released in a CD/DVD version and a CD version. The coupling song “Houseki no Ame” has been the commercial song for Ora2 oral care products since November 19, 2016. The DVD includes the MV for “TOKYO GIRL”, a special teaser trailer, and Perfume View.
