PASSPO☆ has unveiled the MV for “TRACKS” the new song on their upcoming best album of the same name (release date: December 10) and it will surely leave fans of Makoto Okunaka with a heavy heart.
The video opens with Okunaka, who will graduate from the group on the tour finale for PASSPO☆ this coming New Year’s Day, walking towards a door with a suitcase in hand. She turns and gazes out from the screen simply saying, “I’ll be going” (Ittekimasu). From there, the music starts and scenes of Makoto running down a road are interspersed with the members at what looks like a farewell party. As they look at the different costumes they wore over their 5-year history and look wistfully towards the sky, the finality of Makocchan’s graduation begins to sink in.
Perhaps it is a good thing that this is only a shortened preview of the video as it is pretty heavy but it seems odd that it doesn’t seem to be included on the DVD. Hopefully, it will get added on and they will have the full version online for 24 hours like they did with the video for “Himawari”? The clock is ticking towards Makoto Okunaka’s final day as a member of PASSPO☆ so if you are a fan of hers, remember that it’s now or nothing!
