Unusually, Only 9 Members Make Up a Team for NMB48’s New Single “Must be now”

NMB48 showed off their 13th single “Must be now” (release date : October 7th) for the first time during the performance of “TeamN Koko ni datte Tenshi wa iru” held at NMB48 theater on September 10th, and they also unveiled the MV for the song. You can see the short version of it on the NMB48 official YouTube channel.

NMB48 brings their perfect dance number for their single. Only 9 were selected, which is less than half of the members in their previous piece. While members who previously held the center position failed to make the cut, skillful Rika Kishino and Haruna Kinoshita were selected to return. It defied expectations, in a good way. This song carries high hopes to further broaden the potentials of NMB through its ambitious personnel lineup.

Yamamoto, who will hold the center position for the first time since the group’s 9th single, “Takane no Ringo,” said “there is a pressure from taking the center position after a long hiatus, but I will overcome it. I think NMB48 remains as a competitive group, and hope that it will become a strong group that will betray your expectations, in a good way.”
