NMB48 takes a dark turn in the MV for their 14th single “Amagami Hime” (release date: April 27).
The MV for “Amagami Hime” focuses on Sayaka Yamamoto as the leader of a gang of shoplifters, Miru Shiroma as a dancer with an eating disorder, and Miyuki Watanabe as a young celebrity who falls in love with a guy who likes wearing super long T-shirts. The title of the song translates literally to “playful bite princess”, which is why there are so many shots of the members biting themselves and others. It looks like none of those bites will turn the members of NMB48 into Titans though.
The MV for “Ferry” (Type-C exclusive) shows the inevitable bad end to what would probably happen if you tried to date all of Team BII in a dating sim and they all found out! Shu Yabushita and Nagisa Shibuya are the centers but Miyuki Watanabe is right next to them for most of the choreography and wearing a very bright colored top, in addition to serving up the best rejection in the form of a cake to the face at the end. Waruki attacks! Most of the screencaps below have been selected so that you can experience the rejections as close to first hand as possible. There are also many close-ups of Team BII making sad and teary-eyed faces.

“Amagami Hime” will be released in 4 different CD/DVD versions which are available online. Type-A includes an exclusive track by Team N titled “Hakanai Monogatari” and part 1 of bonus footage from the NMB48 athletic meet. Type-B includes an exclusive track by Team M titled “Koi wo Isoge”, part 2 of bonus footage from the NMB48 athletic meet. Type-C includes an exclusive track by Team BII titled “Ferry” and part 3 of bonus footage from the NMB48 athletic meet. Type-D includes an exclusive track titled “Niji no Tsukurikata” by Yuri Ota, Ririka Suto, Nagisa Shibuya, Kokoro Naiki, and Shu Yabushita and a variety show comedy segment. The coupling song for all versions is a Sayaka Yamamoto solo version of the AKB48 song “365 Nichi no Kamihikouki”. All CD/DVD versions include the MVs for “Amagami Hime” (regular and dancing versions), a ticket to participate in an event and 1 randomly selected nama shashin (varieties differ depending on type of CD). The theater version which is only available on chara-ani includes an exclusive song titled “Dotonburi yo, Nakasete kure!” and includes a handshake ticket.
