Nemukyun from Dempagumi.inc becomes “Avatar of The Gimmes” in Yahoo Auction TVCM

Three new commercials in promotion of internet auction site Yahoo Auction have been released on YouTube featuring Nemu Yumemi of Dempagumi.inc.

In the uploaded commercials entitled “Starting at One Yen” and “Viva Materialism”, Nemu Yumemi appears wearing a bright, yellow outfit and matching mask with “material desire” branded on the forehead. As the “avatar of material desire”, Yumemi conveys the appeal of Yahoo’s service. On the other hand, in “Pocket Money Earnings”, the viewer enjoys images of her performing various acts like taking pictures of herself in casual clothing or playing a theremin in a tuxedo. These clips will be broadcast as television commercials domestically across Japan in major cities from the 22th of November until the 8th of December.

In Japan, currently, while the economic policies referred to as “Abenomics” are stimulating the economy, due to the increase of commodity prices, everyday people are still not able to break free from these depressed economic circumstances.
We hope that these “materialistic” commercials featuring Nemu Yumemi will flip the detonator switch of economic recovery.
