[Breaking] Marina Nagasawa Announces Her Withdrawal from Houkago Princess!

On December 14, 2016 it was announced that Marina Nagasawa will be withdrawing from Houkago Princess on December 31st.

Her future plans have not yet confirmed but, this does not mean she will be leaving the entertainment industry. The announcement on the Houkago Princess official site originally listed her final date as December 31, 2017 but, with the additional notice that all dates for their spring 2017 Tokyo/Osaka/Nagoya/Fukuoka tour would be postponed/cancelled, it is almost certain that it is a typo, which was later corrected to read December 31, 2016.

Marina Nagasawa will withdraw from Houkago Princess.
長澤茉里奈は放課後プリンセスを脱退する事になりました。

This is my will and I have been thinking about it for a long time. It also means I will leave my current agency as well.
前から悩んでいた事で私の希望です。所属事務所も離れる事になります。

I apologize that it was such short notice.
急なお知らせになってしまったこと本当にごめんなさい。

I realized that I was not able to catch up with the rest of group after our major debut.
メジャーデビューをしてどんどん上を目指すようになってついていけなくなる自分がひしひしとわかるようになりました。

It means that my dancing and singing level was not enough but, I also could not get over my fears of being on stage during the live performances.
ダンス、歌のパフォーマンスもそうですが気持ちがついていけずステージが怖いと思う日もありました。

I really get along well with the members. I struggled because I knew how passionate the other members were about their performances.
メンバーとはとても仲良しです。メンバーがステージにかける気持ちの強さを知っているからこそ悩みました。

I was confident and had fun with my personal projects.
個人のお仕事も増えて楽しかったし自信も持てました。

However, I thought I wanted to look back at everything I had done until now.
でも、今、自分自身を見つめ直したいと思いました。

Think about what is what I really want to do in the future, and move on to my next step.
自分が本当にやりたいものは何なのかしっかり考えて次のステップに進めたらいいなと思っています。

Three and a half years have passed since I joined this group in 2013; it changed my life and I learned new things everyday. Every single day was fresh. Although I did something wrong but, I think I matured a lot thinking back the past. I do love my fans, indeed.
２０１３年の７月に加入して３年半、放プリに出会って人生が変わったし日々学ぶことばかりで毎日新鮮で楽しくて、失敗したこともあったけど加入した頃よりもとても成長したと思っています。出会えたファンのみなさんの事、ほんとに大好きです。

放課後プリンセス長澤茉里奈を応援してくれて有難う御座いました。

This means “withdrawal” not “graduation” but, I am not regretting my decision.
このタイミングで辞めるのは卒業ではなく脱退になってしまいますが自分の決断に悔いはないです。
