Idol Renaissance’s First Full Album “Our Songs” Is Filled With Japanese Popular Songs Covered by Them!

Idol Renaissance revealed the CD jacket and the included songs for its’ first full album “Our Songs” (release date: March 22nd). Their album release was surprisingly announced by TOWER RECORDS representative director, Ikuo Minewaki, during the release event “Funny Bunny” at TOWER RECORDS Shinjuku store. The title, “Our Songs” includes members, who have sang from cover to original song’s, message of “everyone’s songs” which has respect and appreciation toward the artists, who have let them cover the songs, and the fans who have supported them.
The leading song of this album is “BESTEN DANK”, Hiroshi Takano’s hit song from the 1990, which Idol Renaissance will perform the first time at their second one man live “Ebisu de Sukobu-Renaissance” on February 28th. Based on the theme of renaissancing the famous work of music in any time period, two new songs, “STILL LOVE HER (by ™ NETWORK)” and a fresh music piece from 2015 “Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! (by androp)” are chosen for the album.
Also, staple songs from the live are included, such as “Kinyoubi no Ohayou/ Good Morning on Friday (by Honeyworks)” and “Ano Ko Boku ga Long Shoot wo Kimetara Donna Kao wo Surundarou/ How Will She React After I Make A Long Shoot (by Yasuyuki Okamura)”. Their debut single, “17 sai/ Seventeen Years Old (by Base Ball Bear)”, that is no longer produced, second single “Taiyou to Shinzou/ Sun and Heart (by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra)”, and “Hatsukoi/ First Love (by Kouzou Murashita)” are included also.
“Hour Song” by Idol Renaissance, an idol group that faces “music” sincerely and covers popular and must know songs to renaissance, should be an album receiving wide recognition for those who are and aren’t idol fans.
