“Singing, Dancing, and Eating Idol” Akamaru Dash☆ announces a major debut!

Akamaru Dash☆, an idol group that has a concept of “Tabedoru” (an idol that sings, dances, and eats) has announced on August 13th that they will be making a major debut.

「歌って　踊って　食べるアイドル＝食べドル」をコンセプトに活動するアイドルグループ「赤マルダッシュ☆」がメジャーデビューすることが、8月13日に発表された。

By combining the concept of “idol” and “eating”, Akamaru Dash☆ aims to deliver happiness to the audience, and consists four members of Ayaka Kawashima (Black), Marika Kitazawa (Red), Shuri Tamashiro (Green), and Nayu Onishi (White). Last October, they released their single “Akamaru Kyu-josho Dash”, and their major debut song “Tabete, Waratte, Ikiteiku” (meaning Live by Eating and Laughing) has been chosen as the commercial song of “Maruchan Akai Kitsune to Midori no Tanuki” (instant udon and soba bowl) that will be broadcasted in Japan from August 18th.

“アイドル”と“食”の融合し、たくさんの人に笑顔を届けることを目標としている赤マルダッシュ☆は、川村彩花（黒）、北澤鞠佳（赤）、玉城茉里（緑）、大西菜友（白）の4人組アイドルグループ。去年10月には「赤マル急上昇ダッシュ!!!!」を配信限定でリリース、そしてメジャーデビューソング「食べて、笑って、生きていく。」が8月18日より全国オンエアされる「マルちゃん　赤いキツネと緑のたぬき」のCMソングに決定した。

This event was originally held as an announcement of the new commercial song, but the producer Tetsuya Takeda, also known as a famous Japanese actor, made an instant surprise announcement of the major debut. With such a sudden announcement, the members showed tears of joy and expressed their thoughts.

今回の会見はCMソング発表会という設定だったが、プロデューサーの武田鉄矢がメジャーデビューを発表するというサプライズが発生。突然の発表にメンバーはうれし涙を見せながら、それぞれ喜びの気持ちを語った。

During the event, they performed their new song “Tabete Waratte Ikiteiku”, and many fans came to watch the performance. Tetsuya Takeda appealed the group that, “the song has a nostalgic melody, that a middle-aged man like me can follow”.

会見では新曲「食べて、笑って、生きていく。」のライブパフォーマンスも行われ、多くのファンも駆けつけた。武田鉄矢は「私のようなおじさんでもついていける、どこか懐かしさのあるメロディです」と魅力をアピール。

As a one-word message from Takeda to Akamaru Dash☆, he chose to deliver the word “Uta” (song). In explaining why he chose this word, Takeda stated that “The kanji of ‘Uta’ has two square-shaped characters, and this illustrates two boxes of wishes hanged on a tree. I want their wishes to reach the people in the world.” In the end of the event, Kitazawa remarked, “Although we are still in the process of development, we would like to work our best and follow to producer Takeda!” and expressed enthusiasm towards their future activities. The song “Tabete Waratte Ikiteiku” will be released on October 22.

そしてそんな彼女たちに、武田鉄矢から“贈る言葉”として漢字の“歌”という文字が贈られた。その意味について武田は「“歌”という漢字には口が2つありますが、これは願い事を箱に入れて木にぶらさげている、という風景なんです。君たちの願いを、世の中の人に届けて欲しい」と語った。イベントの最後には、北澤の「まだまだ成長途中ですけど、これからも武田プロデューサーについていって頑張りたいと思います！」と宣言し、今後の意気込みを見せてくれた。なお、「食べて、笑って、生きていく。」は、10月22日リリース予定。
