“Ready for the Future?” Cross-Dressing Idol Group Fudanjuku Releases MV for New Single Shunkan Tourai Future

Danso (cross-dressing) idol group Fudanjuku has released the PV for their next single release, “Shunkan Tourai Future” (available March 31st)! With a driving beat and forward-facing lyrics, this release continues with Fudanjuku’s style of upbeat songs that motivate their listeners to take the next step forward towards their goals.
After former member Bukiya Momotaro’s graduation back in October, Shunkan Tourai Future is their first music video including energetic new member, Kariyase Light. Light begins the song with his impeccable English pronunciation asking us, “Hey, it’s time… Ready for the future?”
The video opens with six members dressed elegantly, seated around a table seemingly biding their time and calculating their next moves. This MV’s outfits bring to mind fashionable university professors, with each member accented by unique accessories, like bowties, cravats and scarves. Light enters the scene and bids the other members to join him outside, as their audience awaits.
The venue is Tokyo’s National Museum, located in Ueno. Fudanjuku members take the podium as impassioned politicians, and begin inviting their audience (in this case, Fudanjuku fan club members selected by lottery to participate in the music video filming!) to join them on their journey towards their dreams.
As the melody’s tough beats drop, they break into Shunkan Tourai’s high energy choreography which members have said is their most physically demanding dance yet! The highlight is new member’s Light intense freestyle, which changes during every live performance of the song based on his feeling at the time. The audience’s energy soars as their leaders guide them towards their future stage.
