Just when you thought it was safe to go back to your safe and predictable commercials, Dempagumi.inc stages one of the most epic “kabe don” scenes so far in “Koi no Raichi”, the commercial for Kirin’s Mets Litchi (Lychee) flavored soft drink.
Set in the fictional “Kirin Mets Gakuen”, the 6 members of Dempagumi.inc battle it out to win the affections of their “sempai” (upperclassman), flying through the air and running across the chalkboard, with the climax being Mirin Furukawa’s “kabe don” that ends up breaking the wall! Using “bullet time”, wire harnesses, and green screen technology, it might be the most exciting 15-seconds of advertising to be released in 2015!
In the “making of” video below, you can see exactly how everything came together to make it all possible. You can also hear a Dempagumi.inc version of the song being used in all of the commercials released so far!
