The finals of the annual event “National High School Girl Miss Contest (Zenkoku Joshi Kousei Miss Contest) that decides the prettiest high school girl in Japan has been held on March 29 at Shibuya Hikarie, and “Yukyun” (Yukino Funakoshi), a 17-years-old student from Osaka was chosen as Grand Prix!

14 finalists who were chosen from 37 thousand applicants from 6 regions (Hokkaido/Tohoku, Kanto, Kinki, Chubu, Shikoku/Chugoku, Kyushu/Okinawa) that underwent dance and vocal training appeared on stage. The final stage included examination of walking, acting, dancing, and singing, and grand prix was chosen by the judges and votes of the audience.
Minami Kamei (18) from Fukuoka recieved second place and Furyu Award, Yuma Nakamura (18) from Fukuoka received Judge’s Special Award, and Natsune Ito (16) the Model Press Award.
